Someone Is Always Watching

You may not realize it but people are interested in what you do here at SPARK.  Sure some of those closest to you might want to tell you to shut the hell up everytime you start talking about it, but there are others you may not be THAT close with that would love to ask you a question…or at the very least have noticed a change in how you look, how you carry yourself, how much more energy you have or that you do burpees in your office at work!

One of Wendy’s co-workers actually got a trophy made up for her when she finished the Burpee Challenge - 5150 Burpees.  Yep, they notice and they are intrigued…


A few announcements:

1 - Running & Endurance Cert : June 13 & 14 - Gym will be closed.

2 - Inter City Challenge II : June 6 ‘09

This is being held at CrossFit Edmonton and will be an awesome time.  There will be an Rx’d WOD as well as a scaled version so don’t be afraid to come participate.  Even if you don’t want to workout at least show up and cheer your friends on and stay for the BBQ after.

Rx’d heats 1:30-2:30

  • 7 Deadlifts 225/135

Baby Pics

I don’t normally post things that go on in my life outside the gym…I like to showcase all of you or post things that are a worthwhile read.  However, after getting asked a gazillion times here you go: pictures of my newest addition.

This is Riley Jett Layton.  He was born May 8 ‘09 and was 7lbs 14oz.  Both he and mom were great after the big day and have only gotten better since.

  • 400m Run x 4
  • 100 Squats
  • 100 Push ups

It doesn’t matter when, it doesn’t matter how (as long as technique is proper!) you get the squats and push ups done…they just have to get done.  Split it up as you see fit.
