Ever find yourself moving to the next exercise only to have your brain shut off? You know, where you stand and stare at the implement you should already be using. I like to call it “gazing”.
CrossFit is more than just exercise. Beyond the physical aspects of it one could almost argue it is a state of mind. It requires more mental toughness than just about anything else you do.
So the next time you find yourself gazing take a deep breath and get under the bar, pick up the kettlebell or start your next pull up. I promise if you can suck it up enough to get the next 2 or 3 reps off you’ll be surprised how much more you can give. Remember, self doubt and a defeated attitude will get you nowhere but digging deep for just one more rep can get you everywhere.
